1. Terms of Participation
   • Whilst participating, all guests must comply with the rules given to them by the game hosts whether written or verbal. Any persons not complying with these rules may be removed from the session without refund.
   • Although the game rooms have suggested minimum age recommendations, we do not operate a strict age policy. However, groups that are under the age of 14 require an adult to remain on site for the duration of the game.
   • It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure that they are fit to play – there are no strength requirements for the games, however, participants should ensure that staff are made aware of any potential health issues.
   • APTE reserve the right to refuse entry to any guest/participant that behaves in a manner they deem likely to affect the enjoyment of other visitors. APTE will not tolerate threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour towards staff or other guests.  Where a guest is part of a group, APTE reserve the right to remove the whole group from the session and in these circumstances no refund will be given.
   • The consumption of alcohol or other substances is not allowed in the game area. Any guest who appears to be under the influence will be refused participation.
   • All participants accept responsibility for themselves whilst participating in our game zones and play at their own risk. APTE accept no responsibility for any liability, harm, injury or death, cost or expense whatsoever that may arise directly or indirectly from attending an APTE event.
   • APTE accept no responsibility for personal property whilst at the venue.
   • APTE reserve the right to amend or alter the terms of participation at any time without reason or prior notice.
   • It is the responsibility of the person making the booking to make everyone in their party aware of these Terms of Participation – it is not the responsibility of APTE to do so.

2. Game Rules
   • If any game rules are broken, this can forfeit the game for the whole team with no refund.
   • All instructions from the game hosts must be listened to and adhered to at all times.
   • At no point should you use your mobile phones to take photographs, or access the internet during game play.
   • For your safety and to help supervise the games, CCTV images are being recorded throughout and remain the property of APTE. They will not be used for any other purpose without your permission.
   • At no point are you to use force or remove any of the items or take anything from the game rooms.

3. Conditions of Sale
   • All payments must be made before the event. Failure to pay will mean that no team member is allowed to attend and play.
   • Booking are non-transferable for any reason once booked.
   • Bookings can be cancelled providing there is at least 72 hours before the start of the game. The refund will be subject to a 10% admin charge.  Bookings cancelled within the 72 hour window are non-refundable.  The date/time of booking can be amended subject to the above 72 hours notice without additional charge.
   • The Management cannot be held responsible for any booking which are lost or stolen. APTE reserve the right to cancel any bookings which it reasonably suspects to have been made fraudulently.
   • If a deposit is taken to secure a future booking, this deposit will be non-refundable.
   • APTE may, at short notice, change the operating hours of sessions due to unforeseen circumstances or technical issues.
   • If a booking is cancelled or rescheduled, APTE will make every reasonable endeavour to contact the individual who made the booking and notify them before the event. It is the responsibility of the individual to check any booking amendments which will be clearly notified on our website and social media.
   • As we timetable our games with a constant flow of visitors, if you arrive late, you run the risk of your game being shortened with less minutes available to play. We strongly advise that you arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled game commences.  Any guests which arrive 30 minutes or more after the scheduled start of their game will not be able to play but will still be charged.
   • Terms and conditions are applicable for all bookings at APTE, including those purchased via the website, by telephone, via social media or in person.
   • The individual who makes the booking agrees (on behalf of the entire party) and understands that there is an inherent risk in attending any event and APTE is no exception. As such, the individual who makes the booking voluntarily assumes all risks and dangers associated with participation.  In consideration and acceptance of the entrance, the individual who makes the booking agrees to release APTE from any liability, harm, injury or death, cost or expense whatsoever that may arise, directly or indirectly, from attending APTE.
   • We collect personal information necessary for the booking process. This information will not be shared with third parties except where required by law.
   • Participants agree to receive emails or other communications related to their booking or future promotions.
   • Your email address may be used for promotional e-mails from APTE. You can be removed from this mailing list at any time by emailing the company at info@aplacetoescape.co.uk

4. Gift Cards
   • Gift Cards will be delivered by post unless otherwise requested.
   • Gift Cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise advertised at the point of sale.
   • No refunds are given for Gift Cards as they hold no cash value.
   • Gift Cards can be redeemed against any of our live game rooms, subject to availability.
   • Gift Card booking should be redeemed directly via email or phone, no on-line booking is possible at this time.
   • Gift Cards are sent out manually and, where possible, within 72 hours.
   • Gift Cards will clearly state how many players the card is valid for.
   • Gift Cards will have a unique code which will be required upon booking to protect against fraudulent use.
   • Gift Cards must be used (not booked) by the date shown on the gift card.

5. Confidentiality and Intellectual Property
   • The puzzles, designs and concepts used in the escape rooms are the intellectual property of APTE.
   • Participants agree not to disclose, reproduce, or use any of the escape room experience for commercial purposes.
   • Taking photos or videos inside the escape room is strictly prohibited

All of these terms and conditions are governed by English Law.
